Magenta Foiling Clinic
I had the opportunity to photograph and film the Magenta Foiling Clinic, an initiative by The Magenta Project held in Barcelona during the final week of the 37th America’s Cup. This wasn’t just another assignment—it was a chance to document a movement breaking barriers in sailing. From behind the lens, I captured women mastering the art of foiling with determination and skill, their camaraderie and passion driving them forward in a sport traditionally dominated by men. Each frame told a story of perseverance, inclusion, and the changing landscape of competitive sailing.
Beyond the event itself, this project carried a deeper meaning for me. As a photographer and a father of two girls, I feel a responsibility to help create a world where they—and all young women—can pursue their passions without limitations. By sharing the stories of these remarkable sailors, I hope to inspire future generations and contribute to a broader cultural shift toward equality in sport. The Magenta Project’s mission to upskill, inspire, and challenge conventions resonates deeply with me, and I’m grateful to have played a small role in capturing its impact.
